The Fenglong Academy was a renowned institution as early as the Han Dynasty. Throughout successive dynasties, eminent scholars resided and taught here. Unlike other academies, Fenglong Academy not only focused on the study of classical literature but also made significant achievements in the field of natural sciences. In the 13th century, Li Ye founded the theory of semi-symbolic algebra at Fenglong Academy, which was the most advanced mathematical achievement in solving higher-degree equations in the world at that time, predating the emergence of European algebra by at least 300 years. Highlights

There are many temples on Fenglong Mountain, bringing together Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. Notable sites include Shitang Temple, Xiuzhen Temple, Laojun Hall, and Jade Emperor Temple. Temple fairs were naturally very popular, with grand celebrations held every March, June, and October. Folk performances such as acrobatics and circus acts attracted villagers from far and wide, creating a continuous flow of visitors. Introduction

Located on Fenglong Mountain in the southwest of Luquan City, adjacent to Yuanshi County and about 20 kilometers from Shijiazhuang City, it has long been known as a historically and culturally significant mountain. The area is home to Hebei Province’s earliest academy—the Fenglong Academy—as well as numerous temples and Han Dynasty steles.
