Tuoliang Mountain is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a national forest park.

The Tuoliang Mountain Nature Scenic Area is located in the northwest of Pingshan County, 150 kilometers from Shijiazhuang City, covering a total area of 220,000 square kilometers. Its main peak, situated at the junction of Pingshan, Fuping, and Wutai County in Shanxi Province, stands at an elevation of 2,281 meters, making it one of the five highest peaks in Hebei Province. Tuoliang Mountain features lush mountains and numerous waterfalls, with its dense primeval forests and continuous cascades forming the most distinctive landscapes of the area. Within its over 30,000 acres of vast primeval forest, there are 686 plant species and more than 100 types of wild animals. Hundreds of waterfalls dance through the thick woods, taking on diverse forms as they spray beads of water and splash like jade. The YunDing Grassland is unique to the Tuoliang Mountain area of Pingshan, offering emerald grass, fragrant flowers, and a misty ambiance. Tuoliang is located at the junction of Hebei and Shanxi provinces in the northwest corner of Pingshan County, Hebei Province, 138 kilometers from Shijiazhuang City, facing the sacred Buddhist site of Mount Wutai in the distance. It gets its name from its mountain peak that resembles a camel’s hump. The main peak rises 2,281 meters above sea level, making it one of the five highest peaks in Hebei Province. Here, layers of greenery unfold endlessly, valleys are serene and picturesque, waterfalls gather in clusters, sea of clouds frequently appear, and the climate is pleasant—all creating enchanting scenery. Tuoliang is especially renowned for its cool climate, with an average summer temperature of only 19°C. In summer, Tuoliang is lush and glistening as if freshly rinsed in water, with mountain mists and drifting rain clouds. “Amid deep clouds the peaks’ beauty can’t be seen; when waters rise, the sound of streams through valleys is heard.” Nearly 100 waterfalls—including the Triple-Tiered Waterfall, White Dragon Waterfall, Herringbone Waterfall, and Five-Finger Waterfall—dance through the lush and tranquil 20-kilometer-long valley, splashing like pearls and jade. Tuoliang is also veiled in cool mist and emerald hues; icy springs, dragon springs, and horse-trodden springs—dozens of crystal-clear springs scattered throughout the valley like strings of pearls—are cool and never dry, even in drought, inviting visitors to drink freely. The aerial grasslands and flower seas atop Tuoliang’s peaks are marvelous works of nature. At elevations over 2,000 meters, the broad, flat mountaintops are covered in soft grass, hidden between blue skies, white clouds, and green pine waves.
