Shijiazhuang Water Park

Shijiazhuang Water Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Water Park is located east of Youyi North Street and south of Lianmeng Road, covering an area of 38 hectares. It was designed by the Beijing Design Branch of China Overseas Landscape Architecture Construction Corporation, commenced construction in May 1997, completed on September 30, 1998, and opened to the public on October 1, 1998. The suburban government of Shijiazhuang City was fully responsible for its construction and management, with technical guidance provided by professionals from the city’s Landscape Bureau. On February 5, 2000, the park became free to visitors. On April 28, 2002, the Water Park was placed under the management of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Landscape Bureau.

The Water Park is located east of Youyi North Street and south of Lianmeng Road, covering an area of 38 hectares. The Water Park project was initiated as a gift from the municipal Party committee and government to the 15th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Shijiazhuang. The municipal government invested 136.58 million yuan, and the park was designed by the Beijing Design Branch of China Overseas Landscape Architecture Construction Corporation. Construction began in May 1997, was completed on September 30, 1998, and opened to the public on October 1, 1998. The suburban government of Shijiazhuang City was fully responsible for its construction and management, with technical guidance provided by professionals from the city’s Landscape Bureau. Layout of Attractions

The entire park is divided into six major scenic areas: the Source of Life, Happy Entertainment, Water Tours, European Charm, Glory of Yan and Zhao, and Shijiazhuang Water Park — Jinxia Tianshou.

These areas feature over 30 attractions, including masterpieces of domestic and international architectural art, landscape art, and sculpture. Highlights include a scaled-down version of the world-famous Zhaozhou Bridge and Zhenhai Roar, the Yanyu Tower reminiscent of the Chengde Mountain Resort, as well as Hebei-style folk houses and celebrity-themed walls. In the European Charm area in the northwest part of the park, there are features such as a French colonnaded stone sculpture gallery, the Apollo Fountain, the Couple’s Fountain, and the Little Mermaid sculpture. Additionally, there are modern architectural structures such as the Flying Phoenix Zigzag Bridge and the Whimsical Corridor. The amusement area in the eastern part of the park is the largest and most diverse in the Shijiazhuang region. It includes unique and popular rides such as the Naval Battle Ship, Space Voyage, Arabian Flying Carpet, Celestial Globe, and Rapid Descent. During the day, the park offers a pleasant and elegant environment, while at night, it becomes even more enchanting with decorative lighting. Various lights throughout the park—including scenic spot lights, fountain lights, lawn lights, and tall pole lights—create a vibrant display. Fountains such as “Lotus Emerging from Water” and “Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl” are illuminated by colorful spotlights, producing a dazzling water spectacle that makes the park a popular summer nightlife destination for locals.
