Shang Dynasty Site in Xinchengpu

The Shang Dynasty Site in Xinchengpu is a cultural relic protection unit of Hebei Province.

Located 750 meters north of Xinchengpu Village. Before liberation, there were three large earthen mounds here, locally known as "Chenggang," where bronze artifacts were unearthed multiple times. Only the middle mound remains today, measuring 32 meters from north to south, 23 meters from east to west, and 6 meters in height. Local farmers have discovered Shang Dynasty bronze ware, stone tools, and pottery on several occasions. The county cultural relics preservation office houses 15 pieces of bronze ware excavated from this site, many of which bear inscriptions.

On July 23, 1982, the People's Government of Hebei Province designated the Shang Dynasty Site in Xinchengpu as a key cultural relic protection unit.
