Gao Tou Mosque is located in Gao Tou Village, Gao Tou Hui Ethnic Township. Built in the 19th year of the Jiajing reign during the Ming Dynasty (1541), it covers an area of 3,933 square meters. The glazed treasure vase placed on the wooden structure of the main hall was a gift from Empress Dowager Cixi and Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty.

Gao Tou Hui Ethnic Township: Gao Tou Hui Ethnic Township is situated in the southwest of Wuji County. It governs 15 administrative villages with a population of 34,380. The cultivated land area is 31,545 mu, including 6 Hui ethnic villages with a population of 15,000, accounting for 47% of the total township population. It is the largest Hui ethnic township in the province. Since ancient times, Hui and Han people have lived together in harmony, jointly creating the local civilization.
