Linwu County Zǐwēi Theme Park

The park is situated in Yùměitián Village, Fénshì Town, Linwu County, bordering the Wǔshuǐ River and adjacent to the Wǔshuǐ River Tourist Highway and X084 Road, approximately 7 kilometers from the county center. The project is planned to span more than 2,000 mu, with a total investment of 500 million yuan, of which the first phase requires 130 million yuan, funded by Hunan Honghuojian Agriculture and Forestry Technology Co., Ltd. Construction started in February 2017, and the park was completed and opened to the public in August of the same year.

The park integrates tourism, sightseeing, weddings, science education, flower and tree production and sales, fruit picking, and more. It is planned to be developed in three phases. The first phase centers on the culture of crape myrtle, creating “Zǐwēi Tiānxià” (Crape Myrtle World) as a creative, well-equipped, fully functional, and beautifully landscaped crape myrtle-themed park. The park incorporates “Qīxī (Chinese Valentine’s Day) Culture,” making it the only traditional Chinese wedding culture garden in Hunan. The entire area is designed around the theme of the “Seven Fairies Descending to the Mortal World” love story, following the development of romance through themes such as first encounter, passionate love, and marriage. The crape myrtle theme park is positioned as Linwu’s largest venue for weddings, photography, large-scale matchmaking events, and mass wedding ceremonies. Additionally, the custom of “giving crape myrtle as a marriage proposal” is being promoted as a local matrimonial tradition, integrating crape myrtle into daily life and enriching the cultural significance of the flower in Linwu. The second phase plans to expand water entertainment activities, fruit-picking experiences, specialty dining, and folk culture along the Wǔshuǐ River, creating a unique ancient canal scenic belt in Linwu. The third phase intends to develop the northern forested area, adding zones for viewing rare birds and animals, and launching themed projects such as jungle adventure activities and forest treehouse hotels.

Once completed, the park will significantly boost the development of Linwu County’s cultural tourism industry, enhance the visibility of local and surrounding agricultural and forestry products, and broaden their sales channels. It holds great importance for achieving rural industrial modernization, increasing farmers’ incomes, improving the rural environment, and establishing a tourism landmark. The Zǐwēi Theme Park will provide residents and visitors from the city and neighboring provinces and cities with a great leisure and entertainment destination.

Fénshì Town: Established through the merger of Tǔdì Township and Fénshì Town

　Fénshì Township is located in the eastern part of Linwu County, 18 kilometers from the county seat. It borders Jiāngshuǐ Township of Yìzhāng County to the east, shares a boundary with Tóngyì Township to the south, is adjacent to Tǔdì Township to the west, and connects with Dàchōng Township to the north. The township government is located in Běi'àn Village. The township administers 12 administrative villages: Shànglè, Héngshān, Báishí, Dùtóu, Běi'àn, Nán'àn, Nánfú, Shèxià, Málào, Chéngbèi, Zhāngjiāchōng, and Dǐngxià, plus one community: Xīnglóng.
