Beiji Platform

Beiji Platform is located in the center of the northern city wall of Shenze County. It was first built in the 41st year of the Jiajing reign during the Ming Dynasty (1562) as a massive square earthen platform, surrounded by brick walls. The base covers an area of approximately 2,160 square meters, while the top platform spans about 1,600 square meters. The platform is 14 meters high and consists of three sections with a total of 45 steps. On the platform stands

the Zhenwu Hall, which enshrines the Supreme Polar Star Deity. The main hall has three bays, with two side halls on the east and west, each consisting of two bays. In front of the hall are a bell tower and a drum tower.
