The Temple of Human Ancestors, also known as the Fuxi Temple, is located on the Fuxi Terrace in Xinle City. Originally built during the Han Dynasty to commemorate the merits of Fuxi, the legendary ancestor of Chinese civilization, it has undergone multiple renovations and expansions throughout various dynasties. The central structure of the temple is the Hall of Fuxi. Inside the hall, a majestic statue of Fuxi sits upright, and above the entrance are two vertical and horizontal plaques inscribed with “Pioneer of Cosmic Order” and “The One Since Ancient Times.” Surrounding the main hall were historically a bell and drum tower, front and rear halls, east and west side halls, and nearly 100 temple buildings in total. The terrace and temple form a unified complex with varied elevations, a coherent layout from front to back, symmetrical design on both sides, a clear hierarchy between the main and auxiliary structures, and an overall rigorous composition that creates a grand pattern resembling a multitude of stars surrounding the moon. The site is both majestic and awe-inspiring. The 18th day of the third lunar month marks the annual commemoration of Fuxi. For thousands of years, on this day, hundreds of thousands of descendants of Fuxi and the Yellow Emperor from across the country have come in droves with their families to pay homage, creating a lively and bustling scene.

Transportation: By car, take the Beijing–Shenzhen Expressway, exit at Xinle, head west onto East Ring Road, then turn north. Pass the Beijing–Guangzhou Railway and Wujiazhuang Village, and continue north along Fuxi Road to reach the site. There are directional signs to the Fuxi Terrace within Xinle City.
