Tenglong Mountain is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Tenglong Mountain Pristine Nature Scenic Area is located in the northern part of Wangpo Township, Pingshan County, Hebei Province. It borders Tiantai Mountain to the west, faces Hengshan Lake to the north, connects to Fairy Lake to the south, and is 25 kilometers from the county seat and 50 kilometers east of the provincial capital Shijiazhuang. With convenient transportation, it is a high-quality pristine nature scenic area where cloud and mist drift over “Tenglong, the First Mountain from the West.” It is one of the world’s rare surface continental core landscape areas, covering an area of 8 square kilometers. The mountain features steep cliffs, peculiar rocks, clear waters, beautiful trees, lush forests, and wild seclusion. It is especially famous for its red canyon landform, green sky-high meadows, North China’s sea of vines forest, four-season sea of clouds, and World War II fortress trenches. The area has 3 valleys, 3 streams, 3 cliffs, 5 waterfalls, 8 springs, 32 pools, 13 peaks and ridges, and 58 unique rocks, along with sunrises and sunsets, all combining to create a majestic, mystical, and naturally formed landscape. The 1,000-meter-long red stone valley features continuous colorful rocks and strings of pools and waterfalls, with crystal-clear streams enhancing the vibrant hues of the stones. Lush green peaks rise on both sides of the canyon, while the stream flows gently through the valley, accompanied by birdsong and the murmuring of springs—quiet, deep, and beautiful. A sea of vines stretching over a thousand acres undulates like waves, forming countless green vine canopies beneath the forest. Though not a tropical rainforest, it rivals one and is honored as the “Temperate Rainforest.”
