The Former Residence of “World Peace Poet” Zhu Ziqi

Zhu Ziqi’s former residence is located in Jinjiang Village, Luyang Town. It was designated as part of the third batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in 2009.

Zhu Ziqi (1920–2008), male, was born on April 13, 1920. In December 1937, he went to Yan'an through the introduction of Xu Teli. In 1977, he served as the Deputy Party Group Secretary and Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of the China Writers Association. Zhu Ziqi was honored as the “World Peace Poet.” His translated collection Beijing—Moscow won the Stalin Literature Prize, his poem “To the Vietnamese People” received the Ho Chi Minh Recitation Award in Vietnam, and his long poem “Song of Peace” was awarded the International Peace Prize.

Chengjiao Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Rucheng County. In 1949, it belonged to the First District; in 1956, it was part of Chengguan Town; in 1958, it was included in Fucheng Commune; in 1961, it became part of Chengguan Commune; in 1981, Chengjiao Commune was established; in 1984, it was reorganized as a township. Located in the central part of the county, it covers an area of 22 square kilometers with a population of 12,000. The township government is situated on Laodong Road in the county seat. National Highway 106 and the Ruyi Highway pass through here. It administers eight village committees: Yunshan, Jintang, Jinjiang, Yidao, Hengxiang, Dongzheng, Yule, and Jiaxiang. Township enterprises include factories for clay bricks, ferrosilicon, agricultural and sideline product processing, and mineral processing.
