Tianshen Scenic Area

Tianshen Scenic Area is located in Waisha Township, Rucheng County, approximately 4 kilometers from the county seat, covering a total area of 3.5 square kilometers. The scenic area is nestled against mountains and beside water, featuring majestic hills, undulating peaks, lush trees, and murmuring streams. Provincial Highway 1803 runs through the area, with dozens of buses passing by daily, bringing not only extremely convenient transportation conditions but also vibrant energy to the place. The clear Zhe River is just 500 meters away from the scenic area, swaying its graceful figure day after day, year after year, as it flows gently away, showcasing its enchanting charm.

The area features concentrated and contiguous attractions, including the picturesque Baishi Mountain; the uniquely spectacular Wan Nian Karst Cave; the renowned ancient academy; the Baishi Nunnery where ancient bells ring and incense smoke curls; as well as the time-worn ancient battlefield and the "Home of Loyal Ministers" Taibao Mansion, the tomb of the loyal statesman Zhu Ying. This site combines natural landscapes, historical culture, and revolutionary heritage. The scenic area is just over 70 kilometers from Danxia Mountain in Guangdong. The two sites share a similar charm and a shared lineage, and are hailed as the “back garden” of the Danxia scenery.
