Stele of the Zhengtai Railway Bureau Regulations

The Stele of the Zhengtai Railway Bureau Regulations is a cultural relic protection unit of Hebei Province.

In 1907, after the Zhengtai Railway was opened to traffic, the public was extremely curious and would casually cross the railway tracks and disrupt order within the station. To regulate the behavior of civilians and passengers, and to help all sectors of society understand the relevant regulations on railway passenger and freight transport as well as train operations, the Zhengtai Railway Administration erected a stone stele at Shijiazhuang Station. The front of the stele is inscribed with “Excerpts from the Important Announcements and Key Regulations of the Zhengtai Railway Bureau” and “Train Operation and Public Security Regulations.” Today, this stele stands as a witness to the history of the Zhengtai Railway.
