Golden Palace of Baodu Village

The Golden Palace of Baodu Village is located in the northern part of the village summit, adjacent to the North Gate. Its founding date is unknown. The existing stone inscriptions are from the reconstruction during the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. As the remaining structures were dilapidated, the site was completely rebuilt as part of the tourism development project.

The reconstructed Golden Palace is resplendent and imposing, far surpassing its former glory. At its center stands the Jade Emperor Hall, featuring a golden roof, red walls, and yellow glazed tiles, with the four large characters “天下太平” (Peace Under Heaven) inlaid on the roof, shining brilliantly in the sunlight. To its left and right are the Hall of Two Sages, Hall of the Origin of Time, Hall of the God of Wealth, Hall of the Three Officials, Hall of the Three Pure Ones, and the Hall of the Matchmaker.
