Xibaipo Forest of Stone Tablets

The Xibaipo Forest of Stone Tablets is a classic red tourism destination.

The Xibaipo Forest of Stone Tablets was built in 1996. It is located on the former Baipo Ridge, surrounded by clear water on three sides, covering a total area of 11,000 square meters with a total construction area of 4,910 square meters. The park houses nearly 600 inscribed stone tablets engraved with calligraphy and inscriptions from veteran revolutionaries and renowned figures.

The central stele in the park features authentic calligraphy by the three generations of leaders of our Party: Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, and [name redacted]. The entire structure features red-tiled roofs and white-walled enclosures; winding corridors of steles and interlocking pavilions draw inspiration from both classical architecture and southern Chinese garden design. Its unique layout offers visitors a patriotic education experience akin to a scenic boat ride through picturesque landscapes.

Transportation by bus: Take bus No. 20 from Shijiazhuang Railway Station to the North Bus Station, then transfer to the bus from Shijiazhuang to Xibaipo.

Self-driving route: From Beijing, drive south along the Beijing–Shenzhen Expressway, exit at the Shijiazhuang–Taiyuan Expressway, then enter the Shijiazhuang–Taiyuan Highway. Exit at Shiqing, take Shiyian Road through Pingshan County to Changyu Ridge, turn right and follow the Xibaipo tourist road via Gangnan and Sujiacun, then take National Highway 207 all the way to Xibaipo.
