Xibaipo Leaders' Style Sculpture Park

Xibaipo Leaders' Style Sculpture Park is a classic red tourism attraction.

The Leaders' Style Sculpture Park is an educational and entertaining comprehensive architectural complex, located between the Xibaipo Memorial Hall and the former site of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The park was newly completed and opened on September 27, 2011, covering an area of over 700 square meters. At the entrance of the sculpture park, a huge rock features the inscription “Leaders' Style Sculpture Park,” while the back bears an elegant line of red text: “On the occasion of celebrating the 90th anniversary of the great founding of the Communist Party of China, 23,000 Communist Party members of China Eastern Airlines, with infinite loyalty and love for the Party, donated through voluntary payment of themed party fees to support the reconstruction of this park, jointly building an educational base to carry forward the revolutionary spirit.”

The park features five thematic sculptures that reflect the life and style of the leaders, such as “Comrades-in-Arms” and “Chairman Mao Teaching Farmers to Transplant Rice Seedlings,” showcasing the spirit of Xibaipo. As one of the four major educational sites in Xibaipo, the park also serves as an environmental education base for youth volunteers of “Love at China Eastern.” China Eastern regularly organizes volunteers to maintain the garden and promote environmental awareness.

The park is lush with trees and blooming flowers, setting off the bronze statues of the five secretaries: Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai, and Ren Bishi. These sculptures were created by the renowned sculptor Mr. Cheng Yunxian, vividly bringing the figures to life. Examples include “Chairman Mao Teaching Farmers to Transplant Rice Seedlings” and “A Family,” which depicts Liu Shaoqi conducting a land reform survey by visiting local households. The entire garden is picturesque and makes for an excellent educational and recreational destination.

Transportation: From Shijiazhuang Railway Station, take Bus No. 20 to the North Bus Station, then transfer to the bus from Shijiazhuang to Xibaipo to arrive.

Self-driving Route: Driving from Beijing, take the Beijing–Shenzhen Expressway southward to the Shijiazhuang–Taiyuan Expressway exit, then transfer to the Shijiazhuang–Taiyuan Expressway. Exit at Shiqing, take Shiyanyan Road through Pingshan County to Changyuling, turn right onto the Xibaipo Tourist Highway via Gangnan and Sujiacun, then follow National Highway 207 all the way to Xibaipo.
