Xibaipo Memorial Hall

The Xibaipo Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Xibaipo Memorial Hall covers a total area of 13,400 square meters, with a building area of 3,344 square meters, and officially opened to the public on May 26, 1978. The memorial hall is built along the mountain terrain, consisting of two levels, in a stepped quadrangle style surrounded by corridors on all sides. The exhibits inside integrate modern facilities such as sound, light, and electricity, and comprehensively showcase the historical significance and far-reaching influence of Xibaipo.

To promote the spirit of Xibaipo, support the ongoing advanced education campaign within the Party, and fully leverage the functions of the patriotic education base, the Xibaipo Memorial Hall has made efforts to upgrade its exhibitions and infrastructure, continuously improve service offerings, and boldly innovate its educational approaches. While maintaining the original architectural style and appearance, the old exhibition hall was renovated, expanding the display area from 2,200 square meters to over 4,400 square meters, and increasing the exhibition line length from 340 meters to more than 1,100 meters.

The surrounding environment of the memorial hall has been landscaped and beautified. First, high-standard greening and beautification efforts have increased green space by over 10,000 square meters; more than 60 stone benches and tables have been added to provide resting areas for visitors. Second, over 20 dilapidated buildings and non-compliant billboards that detracted from the scenery have been removed to create a cleaner visiting environment. Third, a new ecological parking lot has been constructed and landscaped, ensuring year-round greenery and floral displays throughout three seasons of the year.

On the basis of consolidating and improving on-site guided tours, the Xibaipo Memorial Hall adheres to being close to reality, life, and the people, continuously strengthens innovation awareness, and carries out diverse forms of educational and promotional activities, achieving positive results.

Transportation: Take bus No. 20 from Shijiazhuang Railway Station to the North Bus Station, then transfer to the bus to Xibaipo to arrive.

Self-driving Route: From Beijing, drive south along the Jing-Shen Expressway to the Shitai Expressway exit, then transfer to the Shitai Expressway, exit at Shiqing, take Shiyian Road through Pingshan County to Changyuling, turn right onto the Xibaipo Tourist Highway, pass through Gangnan and Sujiacun, and continue along National Highway 207 to Xibaipo.
