Jingxing Water Town

Jingxing Water Town is located in Weizhou, stretching along both banks of the Ye River. With its picturesque scenery and unique landscape, the area gives visitors the impression of being in the south of the Yangtze River, hence earning the reputation of the “Jingxing Jiangnan (South of the Yangtze).” The river is broad and flat, with calm waters resembling a serene lake. Along the banks, there are also natural and cultural attractions such as Jiulian Cave and the Martyrs Memorial Halls of Jia Liangtu and Jia Liangtian. It is a scenic area that integrates both water and land experiences, as well as a blend of cultural and natural landscapes.

Every spring, the banks of the Ye River are lush and green, with stunning mountain and river views. In winter, the water and sky merge into one hue, and flocks of birds fly overhead, creating a spectacular scene that is both breathtaking and tranquil. There are also tens of thousands of ducks playing in the river, forming a beautiful and charming water town landscape.

The largest cold-water fish farming base in North China is also located here. To the south of the base is a leisure resort village — though the term "village" refers to an artificially leveled open space with a few Mongolian yurts. The area is surrounded by mountains and shaded by lush trees. There is a very atmospheric willow grove, with ducks gathering on the water and abundant fish in the river. Around the shore, there are about ten boats for visitors to enjoy. In the shallow waters by the river, you can reportedly catch crayfish for free — skilled visitors can supposedly catch up to 10 pounds a day.
