Shijiazhuang Shitai Park

Shitai Park officially opened on October 1, 2005. The park is located in the northwest of Shijiazhuang City, bordering Hebei Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the provincial Xiyuan Residential Community to the east, Minxin River to the west, Shitai Railway to the north, and the dormitory area of the Agricultural Academy of Sciences to the south. The west gate is 500 meters from the West Second Ring Road. The park was constructed in two phases, with the western half as Phase One, covering an area of 102 mu, and the eastern half as Phase Two, also covering 102 mu, themed as an “urban ecological leisure park.”

The northern part of Phase One features both mountains and water, with a landscape garden as its core. The northern section includes an entrance plaza area, ecological background woodland scenic area, ecological natural waterscape area, and floral landscape area; the southern part consists of an ecological wellness area and a children’s play area.

As a continuation and enhancement of Phase One, Phase Two incorporates modern elements. Gentle micro-terrain designs are featured in the central and southern parts of Phase Two. The northern section embodies a holistic concept of a large-scale ecological space, consisting of three scenic areas: Bamboo Wave Plaza, Verdant Fields Garden, and Fragrant Grass & Blossom Garden. The southern section comprises three scenic areas: Main Gate Plaza, Leisure Plaza, and Green Wave Bay.

In terms of greening, the park emphasizes plant diversity and ecological integrity, focusing on post-construction landscaping effects and ecological benefits. Plant arrangements pay attention to the balanced mix of deciduous and evergreen trees, as well as shrubs, flowers, and grasses, while also highlighting seasonal changes to form a naturalistic plant community. A rich variety of plants showcases the park's landscape charm, allowing visitors to enjoy the freshness of trees and the fragrance of flowers upon entering Shitai Park.
