Shijiazhuang Century Park

Century Park is situated in the southeastern part of Shijiazhuang city proper, bordered by Huai’an Road—the city’s first expressway—to the north, the renowned dining street Tiyu South Avenue to the west, adjacent to an eastern golf course and the Century Garden commercial-residential area to the south. The Minxin River, which has been awarded the United Nations Human Settlements Environment Project Award, runs through the center of the park. The park spans a total area of 24.67 hectares and is a large-scale comprehensive urban cultural, leisure, and recreational park.

Construction of the park began on April 25, 2000, and it opened to the public on May 1, 2001, officially welcoming residents on October 1 of the same year. The entire park centers around an expansive 80-acre lake formed by the eastern channel of the Minxin River. Its design employs modern landscaping techniques, drawing on the essence of garden design from both domestic and international sources. It blends Eastern and Western cultural elements, as well as the harmony between humans and nature, and between people and their environment, resulting in a park with a contemporary landscape style. Not only does it feature beautiful scenery, but it also caters to the needs of different groups of people, making it a uniquely styled boutique park. The entire park consists of five scenic areas: the Plaza Landscape Area, Sports Activity Area, Art Corridor Area, Southern Gardens Exhibition Area, and Water Activity Area.
