Qingxi Wenfeng Pagoda

Qingxi Wenfeng Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Hunan Province.

Qingxi Wenfeng Pagoda is situated in the northwest of Qingxi Village, Cushijiang Town, Jiangyong County. As a provincial-level cultural relic protection site, it is an octagonal, seven-story pavilion-style brick pagoda constructed in the 46th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1781). The pagoda is about 24 meters high and has a base diameter of 10 meters. Each floor has four pairs of doors facing each other, with the remaining sides featuring false arched doorways. Starting from the second level, there are exterior balconies (originally equipped with railings) with corbelled eaves. The pagoda body is divided into inner and outer layers, with a staircase inside allowing access to the top. During the Republican era, the upper half of the fifth level and above was damaged by lightning.

Cushijiang Town: Located in the southwestern part of Jiangyong County, Hunan Province, Cushijiang Town borders Guanyang and Gongcheng counties of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It was formed in June 1995 through the merger of the former Cushijiang Town, Chengxia Township, and Qingxi Yao Ethnic Township. The town currently administers 22 administrative villages, 2 residential communities, and has a population of 26,378, including 24,237 agricultural residents and 2,105 non-agricultural residents. The total area of the town is 22,664 mu.
