The Wenchang Pavilion is located at the entrance of the village downstream of the Xiemu River, adjacent to the Buyi Bridge. It was first built in the 48th year of the Wanli reign during the Ming Dynasty. Historically, there used to be a Lianxi Academy on its eastern side, but only one building remains today. The pavilion measures 10.5 meters in both width and depth. The first and second floors are constructed of blue bricks and stand 9 meters high, featuring small-style windows. The third and fourth floors are entirely wooden structures with exquisitely crafted raised beams. The mushroom-shaped blocks beneath the pillars all feature lotus petal pedestals, showcasing distinct architectural features of the Ming Dynasty. The roof is covered with grey tiles in a hip-and-gable style, adorned with upturned eaves and three tiers of cornices. The structure reaches an overall height of approximately 22 meters. Its overall form resembles the arrow-like shape of a protective city wall, standing solemn and stable in the open fields, presenting a magnificent sight.
