Shou Xuan Pavilion

Shou Xuan Pavilion is located 500 meters southwest of Wenchang Pavilion. It is a roadside pavilion along an ancient post road, built in the late Qing Dynasty by Zhou Jilong, an official with the title of Fengzheng Daifu, in honor of his mother who was granted the honorary title of “Fifth-Rank Appropriate Lady.” The pavilion stands in the open fields, exuding an air of simplicity and solemnity. Constructed with stone and wood, it features long stone benches on both sides for travelers to rest, and houses two stone steles. The left stele is inscribed with the "Song of the Compassionate Buddhist Mother's 'Ta' Characters with Preface," a 533-character text containing 81 instances of the character "ta" (他), conveying the Zhou family’s principles for conduct and life.
