Tiger Head Forest Park is located at the border of Hebei and Shanxi provinces, 150 kilometers from Shijiazhuang. It consists of six parts: Tiger Head, Honeycomb Cliff, Lima Cliff, Rooster Stone, Tiger Back Grassland, and a summer resort, covering a total area of 50 square kilometers. The highest peak, Tiger Head, stands at 2,017 meters above sea level, making it the second highest peak in the Shijiazhuang area.

Tiger Head is covered in lush greenery, with undulating forests resembling ocean waves, where the natural ecological vegetation remains in its pristine state. The mountain range originates from Tiger Head and extends in a circular pattern, layer upon layer, vast and majestic. This mountain range is a typical part of the Taihang Mountain system. The mountaintop grasslands are broad and flat, with gentle slopes on the Shanxi side and steep, dramatic landscapes on the Hebei side. The primeval forest exhibits a classic vertical distribution, home to over a hundred families and 600 species of plants, including ferns, gymnosperms, and angiosperms. There are also rare wildflowers such as wild roses, lilacs, and globeflowers, as well as 40–50 varieties of medicinal herbs, with vegetation coverage exceeding 95%. The forested areas of Tiger Head are home to 30 species of wild animals, including hares, pheasants, roe deer, wild boars, and wolves, as well as 29 species of birds. Tiger Head can truly be called a green cradle of life, a world of flowers, and a paradise for animals.

The valleys of Tiger Head are deep and serene, with continuously flowing streams and an abundant water supply. Springs gush down from mid-air. The spring water does not freeze in winter, remains cool and refreshing in summer, never dries up during droughts, and does not swell during floods. The springs contain a very high level of strontium, giving the water a sweet and pleasant taste. The park enjoys a cool and pleasant climate, with an average July temperature of around 20°C, more than ten degrees lower than Shijiazhuang. The temperature at the mountaintop is even lower, well below the national summer climate average of 24°C for July, making it cooler than famous summer resorts like Chengde and Beidaihe.
