Shijiazhuang Rose Park

Shijiazhuang Rose Park is located in the northeastern part of Shijiazhuang City, covering an area of about 126 acres, with a length of 400 meters from north to south and a width of 210 meters from east to west. It is the largest rose-specialized park in North China in terms of planting area, variety, and quantity. The rose is native to China, with a history of over 2,000 years. It is one of China’s top ten traditional famous flowers, ranked first among the world’s four most famous flowers. With a long blooming period, beautiful flower shapes, diverse colors, and elegant charm, it enjoys the reputation of the “Queen of Flowers” and has been designated as the city flower of Shijiazhuang.

The main highlight of Rose Park is its roses, with up to 600 varieties, including research and prevention of maintenance management and pests for the “City of Roses.” The park is planted with over eighty kinds of distinctive native tree species, offering a comprehensive range of varieties and achieving a total greening rate of 70.2%. This further enhances the scenery of “roses blooming endlessly in all seasons and evergreen park landscapes that are pleasant year-round.”

Shijiazhuang Rose Park mainly consists of the main entrance, east entrance area, Rose Festival Square, comprehensive rose exhibition area, and workers’ section. Major attractions within the park include the Rose City Gate, Perfume Spring, Rouge River, Queen of Flowers sculpture, Rose Life Square, Communication Salon, Soaring, and the Observation Greenhouse. With novel and generous design, smooth pathways, and unique shapes, it serves as an ideal place for citizens to appreciate flowers, engage in education, and relax.
