Yuanshi Panlong Temple

Yuanshi Panlong Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Panlong Temple is located on Panlong Mountain in Yuanshi County. The mountain is named for its rolling, serpentine ridges that look like a dragon lying in wait, hence the name, and the temple derives its name from the mountain. It was originally constructed during the Zhizheng period of the Yuan Dynasty and reached its peak in popularity during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. The original complex included the Muni Hall, the Heavenly King Hall, a nine-room Through-Heart Hall, and 16 side halls. It was repaired during the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty, the Shunzhi era of the Qing Dynasty, and the Guangxu era, but was later destroyed.

In recent years, it has been rebuilt, and all the sculptures inside the halls have been created using the latest technology. Nestled among lush pines and cypresses, the newly reconstructed Panlong Temple shines with golden splendor and boasts a majestic presence. It serves not only as a scenic destination for tourists but also as an ideal place for devout worshippers to practice their faith.

Transit: Take bus lines Kuai 30, Kuai 35, or Kuai 50 within Shijiazhuang City to Nanjiao Bus Station, then transfer to shuttle bus 209 for direct service.
