Gaocheng Palace Lantern Museum

The "Gaocheng Palace Lantern Museum," built by the Gaocheng Palace Lantern Research and Development Center, is the only museum in China dedicated to palace lantern culture. Spanning more than 6,000 square meters, it merges the traditional craft of palace lanterns with tourism, creating an integrated industrial group that includes research, production, sales, export, and exhibitions. Relying on the "Gaocheng Palace Lantern Museum," the "Palace Lantern Culture Tour" has been developed into an industrial tourism project strongly promoted by both Hebei Province and Shijiazhuang City tourism bureaus. Visitors can tour the lantern workshops, make their own lanterns, and experience the rich culture of palace lanterns.

Gaocheng palace lanterns have a long history, with "craft paper-carved colored lanterns" being one of their representative works. The "craft paper-carved palace lanterns" developed by the Gaocheng Palace Lantern Research and Development Center have won three national patents. The product line has expanded to include three major series—craft paper-carved palace lanterns, traditional palace lanterns, and large electric palace lanterns—with over 300 varieties. The annual production includes 720,000 craft paper-carved palace lanterns, 340,000 traditional lanterns, and 840 large electric lanterns.
