Yuannan Park in Shijiazhuang

Yuannan Park is located at the western end of Jiansheng Road, covering an area of 4 hectares. The park is situated south of Yuancun, hence its name. Construction began on January 10, 1999, and it was completed and opened to the public in October of the same year. Though small in size (4 hectares), the scenery is quite pleasant. With Crystal Lake as its main feature, the park features corridors, pavilions, rockeries, and weeping willows along the lake. There's even a "Curved Wooden Bridge" spanning the lake and a "House on the Water" extending into it.

Yuannan Park has a strong local character, with key scenic areas including a Folk Culture Zone, Terraced Farming Field, Water Town Charm, Children’s Play Tribe, Changshan War Drum Stage, Lahuaping, and Yangge Performance Area. The park contains artificial lakes and rockeries, where stone and water blend naturally for a simple, rustic feel.

To the north of the main gate on the east side of the park stands a small temple — Puan Temple. According to a stone tablet erected during the 1994 renovation, the temple was first built in the first year of the Jiajing era of the Ming Dynasty (1522 AD). After enduring over 400 years of history, it was ultimately destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. Today, only an ancient stele and a stone statue of Sakyamuni Buddha in the main hall remain, both weathered over time and barely recognizable.
