Qingquan Qilong Mountain
Qingquan Qilong Mountain is located to the south of Qingquan Village, Hengjian Township, Jingxing Mining District, Shijiazhuang City. The “Baopu Taoist Temple” on the mountain is said to have been first built in the late Eastern Jin Dynasty but was later destroyed in war. The existing temple was constructed in the 8th year of the Chongzhen reign during the Ming Dynasty (1635). The main hall of the current temple enshrines the Immortal Lord (Ge Hong) and the Immortal Lady (Madam Bao), while on the east side outside the hall stands a stone stele from the 8th year of the Chongzhen reign (1635) titled “Record of the Founding of the Shrine of the Immortal Lord and Lady,” which is 1.73 meters tall and 0.73 meters wide. The stele’s top features a double-dragon play-with-pearl design with an inscribed title, documenting the construction process of the shrine. On the west side stands another stele from the 52nd year of the Kangxi reign during the Qing Dynasty (1713) titled “Stele for the Renovation of the Side Halls.” The two side halls were built during the Kangxi era of the Qing Dynasty. The main hall and side halls of the temple are all constructed as stone-vaulted cave buildings. In front of the main hall is a stone offering table from the 16th year of the Shunzhi reign (1659). Behind the main hall lies a rear courtyard, where the main structure is a three-bay stone cave hall enshrining the Three Goddesses—Goddess of Bright Eyes, Goddess of Smallpox, and Goddess of Childbirth. Outside the hall, there is a damaged stele recording the construction of the rear hall in the 57th year of the Kangxi reign (1718). The stone pillar of the incense burner in front of the hall bears an inscription from the 5th year of the Tianshun reign (1461). In front of the temple is a square, terrace, and a white jade memorial archway built in recent years, particularly the latter erected in 2006, which is 13 meters long and 8.1 meters high. The area is also planted with cypress, ginkgo, and holly trees and shrubs. The temple complex covers an area of 50 mu.
