Aizhai Bridge

Aizhai Bridge: Located in Aizhai Town, Xiangxi, Hunan, it spans a valley with the Dehang River flowing at the bottom. The bridge deck is about 330 meters above the ground, with a total length of 1,073.65 meters and a main span of 1,176 meters for the suspension bridge. This bridge crosses the Aizhai Grand Canyon, ranking third in the world and first in Asia in terms of main span length.

Transportation

1. By car: Take the tourist shuttle bus from Jishou Railway Station to Dehang (departing from both ends), which costs 5.5 RMB per person. Buses run from 6:30 to 19:30, every 20 minutes (if there is a large-scale Lusheng singing and dancing party at the Dehang Scenic Area, there will be a final bus back to Jishou after the event). Alternatively, you can take a bus from Fenghuang Bus Station to Dehang, which costs 8 RMB per person.

2. By self-driving: Changsha – G5513 – G56 – G209 – Jishou – Dehang; or Zhangjiajie – S306 – S228 – G319 – G56 – G209 – Jishou – Dehang

Starting from Jishou and heading toward Dehang, enter National Highway 209 and you’ll arrive in 10 minutes.
