Lishuangdian Martyrs' Monument

The Lishuangdian Martyrs' Monument is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhengding County.

On May 10, 1995, it was designated as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit by the People's Government of Zhengding County.

Located in the center of Lishuangdian Village, Nanlou Township, it is 19.25 kilometers from the county seat. This area was one of the anti-Japanese revolutionary bases. The monument is made of bluestone, with the main body standing 1.22 meters tall and 0.45 meters wide, housed within a blue-brick-paved pavilion. The entire structure is 2.6 meters tall and 1.44 meters wide, with a 0.5-meter-tall statue of an Eighth Route Army soldier at the center of the pavilion roof. The building covers an area of 40 square meters.

The top of the monument is inscribed with the seal script phrase "May Its Fame Last Forever." The inscription recounts the atrocities committed by the Japanese invaders after the July 7th Incident, as well as how four villagers from Lishuangdian—Liu Wencheng, Sun Jigai, Sun Dewen, and Qiao Tingyu—joined the revolution. They respectively served as the leader of the 4th Squadron of the Lingzheng Airborne Brigade, the commander of the 7th Company of the 4th Sub-district, the head of the militia company, and the director of the peasant association. They bravely sacrificed their lives while fighting the Japanese in areas such as Lingshou, Xingtang, and Fujiacun. In March 1945, as victory in the War of Resistance neared, the villagers of Lishuangdian erected this monument to commemorate the four martyrs who died for the country.
