Niuchangling Anti-Japanese Soldiers Memorial Monument

The Niuchangling Anti-Japanese Soldiers Memorial Monument is a cultural tourism attraction and a classic red tourism site.

In May 1943, the 151st Infantry Regiment of the former 51st Division, under the command of Regimental Commander Wang Changkui, engaged in a fierce day-and-night battle with the 19th and 13th Divisions of the Japanese army in the Niuchangling area of Jiehe City. A total of over 500 enemy soldiers were annihilated, while 114 Chinese soldiers were killed in action. Local residents, with tears in their eyes, buried more than 100 soldiers. In the following years, they continuously built up the burial mounds, which eventually came to be known as the "Bone Pagoda." To inspire patriotism among the people, commemorate the martyrs, and educate future generations, a memorial cemetery was constructed in 1998 along with the "Niuchangling Anti-Japanese Soldiers Memorial Monument."
