Yunlian Tower

Yunlian Tower is a cultural relic protection unit of Hubei Province.

Yunlian Tower

Located in Laocheng Town, Songzi City, it was built in the 28th year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1848). This is a hollow, hexagonal, five-story pavilion-style brick and stone pagoda, standing 25 meters tall with a base side length of 3.68 meters. The main entrance faces the southwest, and from the second to the fifth floors, each level has an alternating arched doorway and circular windows on both sides. The interior has 51 stone steps that allow visitors to climb spirally to the top. The eaves are fitted with triangular bluestone cantilevers used to hang wind bells. This tower is the only feng shui pagoda in the area and holds significant value for the study of local architectural techniques and social customs. (Fifth Batch)
