Zhongmu Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural tourism attraction and a classic red tourism site.

The Zhongmu County Martyrs' Cemetery is situated on the south side of the western section of Qingnian Road. It was established in September 1958, spans 100 acres, and is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhengzhou City. In 1995, it was awarded as an advanced unit in cultural relic management by the provincial Department of Civil Affairs. In October 1999, it was named a patriotic education base by the Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department and the Municipal Education Commission. From 1998 to 2002, it was consecutively recognized as an advanced unit in the county's civil affairs system for four years.

The cemetery features a magnificent Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument, standing 30 meters tall, and a 3,200-square-meter square. Every year during Tomb-Sweeping Day, people from all walks of life in the county gather here for collective memorial activities. The Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Hall spans 2,024 square meters, and the Revolutionary Martyrs' Exhibition Hall covers 616 square meters. The hall mainly displays relics and stories of 234 martyrs from the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Liberation War, the Korean War, the early years of the People’s Republic of China, and the Self-Defense Counterattack War. The cemetery employs three guides who specialize in narrating the heroic deeds of revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country during wartime. These guides play a vital role in promoting the spirit of the martyrs and educating future generations about patriotism. There are also three Revolutionary Martyrs' Memorial Pavilions and six Revolutionary Martyrs' Monuments. The inscriptions on the monuments record the names, hometowns, military units, and dates of sacrifice of the martyrs. Forty-five revolutionary martyrs are laid to rest in the cemetery. Forty-five martyr tombstones are neatly arranged on the southern side of the grounds. To the west of the memorial hall lies the Revolutionary Martyrs' Columbarium, which houses the ashes of 21 soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country and the people during the early years of the nation's founding.

The cemetery has three memorial pavilions. The northern pavilion mainly commemorates the heroic act of the renowned martyr Sun Shuren, who saved fellow ethnic minority people. The central pavilion features three memorial tablets inscribed with the names, military units, and home addresses of 129 martyrs. The southern pavilion documents the bravery of 90-plus comrades who sacrificed their lives in June 1948 when a detachment of the East China Field Army attacked Kaifeng. At Bai Shajiangchong, they held off enemy forces from Zhengzhou attempting to reinforce from the east to secure the liberation of Kaifeng. This group successfully repelled over 20,000 enemy troops comprising nine regiments, supported by 20 tanks, four aircraft, and one artillery regiment, which were advancing eastward along the southern section of the Zhengzhou–Kaifeng Railway. Among them were 34 martyrs hailing from this county, whose heroic deeds are also recorded.
