The Wangzhuang Site in Zhongmu

The Wangzhuang Site in Zhongmu is a cultural relic protection unit of Zhengzhou City.

The Wangzhuang Site is located about 500 meters northeast of Wangzhuang Village in Liujixiang Township, Zhongmu County. It lies west of Wansan Road, stretching 400 meters from north to south and 200 meters from east to west, covering an area of 80,000 square meters. Surface collections at the site include gray pottery shards and red pottery shards made of clay and sandy clay, decorated with cord marks and appliqué patterns. Identifiable artifacts include basins, tripods, and jars. This site is a Neolithic settlement site with rich cultural content and thick stratigraphic deposits, holding certain value for the study and exploration of Neolithic culture.
