Zusi Village

Zusi Village is a cultural tourism attraction.

Zusi Village, located in the northern part of Dacheng County and adjacent to Wen’an Depression, achieved a combined industrial and agricultural output value of 1.6 billion yuan in 2002, with an average per capita income of 6,407 yuan among its villagers. For many consecutive years, it has been designated as a “Well-off Village,” “Civilized Village,” “Top Ten Village Street,” and “Advanced Village in Agricultural Restructuring” at the provincial, municipal, and county levels. In 2002, it was selected as a “Pilot Village for Rural Modernization in Hebei Province.”

To develop eco-agricultural sightseeing tourism, Zusi Village engaged experts in urban planning, agriculture, and eco-tourism. After feasibility studies and planning, it invested 108.5 million yuan to construct an eco-agricultural sightseeing tourism project. This includes: 6,000 acres of fast-growing timber for multi-layer planting, breeding base construction, village greening, renovation of ponds and water surfaces, garden projects north and south of the village, construction of an iron-fenced pig farm, a humanistic landscape art project, and dining, accommodation, and entertainment facilities. The Zusi Park has initially established a comprehensive industrial system covering the six essential elements of tourism — food, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment — forming a distinctive tourist destination integrating sightseeing, vacationing, entertainment, and leisure.
