The Kaifeng Northern Song Dynasty Official Kiln Ceramics Art Museum integrates collection, research, production, and exhibition. Over the years, it has continuously explored and studied the exquisite craftsmanship of Northern Song Dynasty official ceramics, producing replicas that rival those housed in national collections. The museum’s exhibition area is divided into sections featuring official ceramics fired in a 1984 coal kiln, historical ceramic works, and contemporary ceramic works, with a total of over 2,000 exhibits. It is now open to the public free of charge. Through a wealth of precious historical photos, detailed textual materials, and official ceramic works, the museum recreates the glorious history of Northern Song Dynasty official ceramics. While preserving and passing on cultural heritage, it also researches and promotes advanced culture, driving social and cultural progress and development.
