Located within the Red Building in Yuwangtai Park, the Bianliang Marriage Customs and Documents Museum is a historical-themed museum. It was established to provide resources for relevant researchers and meet the cultural needs of the public. This paper-based cultural relics museum integrates collection, research, education, and leisure, aiming to showcase and inherit the outstanding culture of the Chinese nation.

The invention of paper has greatly promoted social development and the preservation of civilization. Though lightweight, paper carries profound meaning. The museum’s exhibits primarily feature paper marriage certificates from the Qing Dynasty to the modern era, with a significant proportion of documents also on display. The total number of exhibits and collections reaches 20,000, including various types such as marriage certificates, contracts, notes, official documents, bills, song and film memorabilia, certificates, quotes from Chairman Mao’s poems and writings, military materials, and seal molds—among which marriage certificates are the most distinctive.
