Baliugou Waterfall

The Baliugou Scenic Area is located 50 kilometers northwest of Xinxiang City, Henan Province, and is part of the Xinxiang Southern Taihang Mountain Tourism Resort. Covering a total area of 42 square kilometers, it features typical landscapes of the southern Taihang Mountains. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, a national geopark, a natural macaque reserve, a renowned scenic spot in Henan Province, and one of the top ten scenic areas in the province. It gathers the essence of Taihang Mountain’s landscapes, combining the spectacular, steep, majestic, elegant, and serene in one valley. Known as the "Soul of the Taihang Mountains" and the "Backbone of China," it has been praised by landscape experts as an "Asian wonder."

The Baliugou Waterfall has a drop of 157 meters. During the rainy season, it is about 20 meters wide, and around 5 meters wide during normal times. The waterfall flows year-round. A curtain of water cascades down from the cliffs, roaring and surging, echoing through the mountains and valleys. The splashing droplets glisten brilliantly in a dazzling display.
