The Please Tenant Lingyang Temple Record Stele is a cultural relic protection unit of Henan Province.

The Please Tenant Lingyang Temple Record Stele is located 500 meters southwest of Nanguan Ying Village, Huqiao Subdistrict Office, Huixian City. Lingyang Temple is situated on the banks of the Wei River, 15 kilometers southwest of the county. It was first built in the third year of the Chuigong era of the Tang Dynasty (687) and was renovated in the 23rd year of the Zhiyuan era of the Yuan Dynasty (1286). The stele was erected in the 25th year of the Zhiyuan era (1288). The stele is 2.90 meters in total height, 0.91 meters wide, and 0.30 meters thick, consisting of a stele head, body, and base. The top is adorned with six coiled dragons, and the arch bears the seal script inscription “Record of the Renovation of Lingyang Temple” in six characters. The front side of the stele features running script text, arranged in 24 lines with 57 characters per line. The inscription describes the geographical environment, historical evolution, scale of the temple, and Taoist activities at Lingyang Temple. The reverse side records the magnitude 8.0 earthquake that struck Zhaocheng County, Hongtong, on August 6 of the seventh year of the Dade era (1303). The earthquake knocked the stele over, and details of the seismic event were added to the reverse side before it was re-erected in the ninth year of the Dade era (1305). This stele not only provides insight into the rise and decline of Taoist activities in Huixian but also offers valuable material for studying the earthquake damage in the Taihang Mountain region during the Dade period of the Yuan Dynasty. In 2000, it was designated as a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit by the Henan Provincial Government.
