Yidoushui Village is located in the northern mountainous region of Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, within the territory of the Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area, a UNESCO Global Geopark. The village covers an area of approximately 9.7 square kilometers, with arable land spanning 2.55 hectares. Surrounded by mountains on all sides and covered with lush vegetation, the village boasts beautiful scenery and fresh air. The houses are all centuries-old stone buildings that remain cool in summer and warm in winter, clean and tidy. The villagers are simple, hospitable, and rich in folk customs, making it a rare summer retreat and leisure destination. Yidoushui Village has a development history of over 2,000 years, and Bai Xing, one of the eight ancient mountain passes of the Taihang Mountains, runs through the village. Historical records indicate that beside the ancient path there was a clear spring from which only one dou of water could be drawn at a time—but the water would immediately well up again, making it an inexhaustible supply.
