Kaiyang Fort

Kaiyang Fort is a cultural heritage protection unit of Hebei Province.

Kaiyang Fort is an ancient Ming and Qing dynasty architectural complex, located in Kaiyangbao Village, Futujiang Township, Yangyuan County, Zhangjiakou City. On October 20, 2008, it was designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People's Government of Hebei Province.

Futujiang Township: Located in the southeastern part of Yangyuan County, Futujiang Township borders Maquanbao Township to the east, Chuaigutuan Town to the west, Baicao Township of Yu County to the south, and faces Jing’ergou Township across the river to the north. It stretches approximately 11 kilometers from east to west and about 15 kilometers from north to south, and is 28 kilometers away from the county seat. The total area is 153.3 square kilometers, with 59,370 mu of commonly cultivated land, including 26,520 mu of irrigated land. The local terrain includes mountains, foothill hills, and river plains. The overall topography features high mountains in the south and low river plains in the north, with an average elevation of 900 meters and the highest peak, Shuangtiaoling Mountain, reaching 1,776 meters above sea level.
