Nanzhao Lotus Hot Spring is located in Huangludian Town, Nanzhao County — a renowned town in Central China — about 35 kilometers north of Nanyang City. It is adjacent to the Nanyang Ring Expressway network and backed by the picturesque Yahe Scenic Area. This is a tourist destination that integrates hot spring bathing, health cuisine, leisure wellness, conference accommodation, eco-tourism, and team-building training. It is also currently the largest water-themed hot spring resort in Asia, capable of accommodating dining and accommodation needs for over 2,000 people simultaneously.

Lotus Hot Spring has a history of more than two thousand years. Historically, the Duke of Nanzhao enjoyed bathing in the hot spring. One night, he dreamed of lotuses blooming beside his bed. The next day, he took his attendants to inquire in the village, and indeed found a lake with lotuses standing tall amid the mist. Upon closer inspection, they saw hot water gushing from beneath the flowers, so the Duke took off his clothes and jumped in. That place was thus named Lotus Pond. In the late Western Han Dynasty, Emperor Guangwu of Han, Liu Xiu, who resided in Nanyang, once came here to bathe and cleanse himself of the dust of travel. Today, the Guangwu Dust-Bathing Stele remains preserved.

Zhang Heng recorded in "The Rhapsody on the Capital of Nanyang": “Hot springs surge behind it, and the Yu River ripples before it,” alluding to Lotus Hot Spring through the location of Nanyang. During the Northern and Southern Dynasties period, Emperor Xiaowen of the Wei Dynasty, on his southern campaign against the Qi, passed through Huangludian. Drawn by the reputation of the hot spring and past emperors, he too took a bath in the pool. With the emperor’s visit, the road shone in glory — hence the name Huangludian (Imperial Road Town). For thousands of years, through countless freezing winters and falling leaves, the bubbling spring has drawn people from nearby villages to bathe and relax.

The spring water of Lotus Hot Spring emerges at a temperature of 52°C. It is rich in over thirty types of beneficial mineral trace elements for human health, such as metasilicic acid, bromides, and iodine, classifying it as a metasilicic acid spring. The hot spring employs the world’s most advanced ozone sterilization and disinfection system, which has no side effects and is 60,000 times more effective than common disinfectants, fundamentally ensuring the natural purity of the water quality. As a result, it is honored in the industry as “golden water.”

The hot spring area features over 100 types of functional pools. Rooted in the history and culture of Nanyang and themed around hot spring wellness, it is divided into six major theme zones: the Jade Culture Zone, Zhongjing Culture Zone, Tea Culture Zone, as well as the Chinese Zodiac Culture Zone, Constellation Culture Zone, and Japan-Korea Style Zone. Additionally, internationally popular specialties such as stone slab baths and fish therapy baths have been added. The water recreation zone boasts thrilling slides, and is home to Central China’s only ultra-large hot spring wave pool and hot spring lazy river. The hot spring wellness area and the water recreation zone complement each other with their dynamic and serene offerings.

Huangludian Town: Located on the northern edge of the Nanyang Basin in Nanzhao County, Henan Province, Huangludian Town borders the Yahekou Reservoir and the Yahekou Thermal Power Plant to the north, Nanyang City to the south, the Baihe River to the east, and the "Baotianman" and "Shirenshan" mountains to the west. It serves as a hub for commodity circulation and the “throat” for north-south traffic.
