The Jiɑojiaopu Iron Smelting Site

The Jiɑojiaopu Iron Smelting Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Nɑnzho County.

The Jiɑojiaopu Iron Smelting Site is located to the north of Jiɑojiaopu Natural Village, Yɑngzhuɑng Village, Xiɑodiɑn Township.

This site is among the first batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units announced by Nɑnzho County in March 1980.

The site covers an area of approximately 154,163 square meters, with a surface accumulation of large amounts of slag. In the eastern part of the site, there are two piles of consolidated slag measuring 7×8 meters and 8×17 meters, respectively, with heights of 2 to 3 meters. On the eastern cliff, there are red-fired earth remains, where two ancient blast furnace sites can be observed. Surrounding the area, Han Dynasty bricks, tiles, Han millstone fragments, and Song Dynasty porcelain shards have been discovered.
