Shangcai Fuxi Temple

Shangcai Fuxi Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Fuxi Temple is located in Baiguimiao Village, Taqiao Town, Shangcai County. It was first built during the Han Dynasty. Legend has it that Fuxi once divined here, taught people to weave nets for hunting, domesticate livestock, and develop tools and skills. In gratitude for his contributions, later generations built the temple on the banks of the Cai River in his memory. The current site includes a three-room Hall of Fuxi, a garden of divination grass, and to the northwest lies the Pavilion of Fuxi Drawing the Eight Trigrams, beside which is engraved a stele titled “Fuxi Drawing the Eight Trigrams,” inscribed by Cai Yong of the Eastern Han Dynasty.
