The Ligan Ancient Cultural Site is a cultural heritage site protected by Suixian County.

The Ligan Ancient Cultural Site. This cultural site was originally an earthen mound three meters high, stretching 120 meters from east to west and 80 meters from north to south. It is located between Gangxiapo Village and Ligan Village in Pinggang Town, with part of it situated beneath Ligan Village. Villagers discovered Han Dynasty brick-chambered tombs and stone coffin tombs while digging for earth here. Burial objects unearthed include pottery pots, jars, granaries, ding tripods, fang vessels, bronze mirrors, and wuzhu coins. Most of the remaining cultural layers at the site belong to the Shang Dynasty’s Yinxu culture. Several ash pits have been identified, and fragments of pottery such as tiles, li tripods, and jars can be found scattered across the area. Additionally, a bronze adze with deer antler was discovered. The site is rich in content and holds significant value for the study of Yinxu culture in eastern Henan. In 1981, it was designated as a key cultural heritage protection unit by the county government.
