The Han Tombs of Mount Heng are a cultural heritage site protected by Suixian County.

Han Tombs of Mount Heng. Located between Zhaozhuang Village and Wangzhuang Village, about 5 kilometers north of the county town, the site originally stretched 500 meters from north to south and 150 meters from east to west. The area, situated higher than the surrounding terrain, is referred to as Mount Heng in old records. Among the “Eight Scenic Spots of Sui Prefecture” praised by literati in ancient times, “Mist-Cloaked Beauty of Mount Heng” was one of them. A temple known as Mount Heng Temple once stood on the mountain but no longer exists. Since the 1950s, local villagers farming in the area have frequently discovered Han Dynasty tombs. Most are built with rope-patterned bricks measuring 26×15×5 cm, though some are constructed with hollow bricks. The unearthed artifacts are predominantly pottery, along with items such as jade bi discs, jade belt hooks, iron swords, and iron scissors. In addition to the Han tombs, an ancient cultural layer with an undetermined upper age limit has also been found. Pottery shards dating from the Longshan Culture period to the Eastern Zhou Dynasty have been collected here, drawing attention from archaeological and cultural heritage authorities. It is now a county-level key cultural relics protection unit.
