Tomb of Prince Xiao of Liang in Shangqiu
The Tomb of Prince Xiao of Liang in Shangqiu is a cultural tourism attraction.
Introduction:
Located on the mountainside of Mount Bao'an on the southern range of Mangdang Mountain, about 34 kilometers northeast of Yongcheng, approximately 15 meters below the mountaintop. Prince Xiao of Liang, named Liu Wu, was the second son of Emperor Wen of Han. He was initially enfeoffed as the King of Dai, later as the King of Huaiyang, and in the 12th year of Emperor Wen’s reign (168 BC), he was made the King of Liang, historically known as Prince Xiao of Liang. He was buried here after his death. His tomb was carved directly from the mountain to form the outer coffin, with chambers hollowed out of the rock. The tomb entrance faces east, and the tomb is 56.62 meters long, with the widest point being 30.5 meters. It is grand and well-structured, resembling an underground palace. It is a national key cultural relics protection unit.
