The Tomb of Huang Yuanyu is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Tomb of Huang Yuanyu is located in Duchang Subdistrict, Changyi City. Dating back to the Qing Dynasty, it was designated as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People’s Government of Shandong Province in 2013.

Huang Yuanyu (1705–1758), also known as Yulu, with the courtesy name Yuanyu, literary name Kunzai, pseudonym Yannong, and alias Yuqiu Zi, was a renowned physician of the Qing Dynasty. He was a representative figure of the Confucian Classicist school in medicine and served as the imperial physician to Emperor Qianlong. The emperor personally inscribed the phrase “Miaowu Qihuang” (Profound Insight into Medicine) in recognition of his knowledge and “Renda Yaoji” (Benevolent Medicine for the People) to summarize his life’s work. He inherited and advanced the profound theories of traditional Chinese medicine, exerting a far-reaching influence on later generations of physicians. He is revered as the “Herbal Master Huang” and a “master of his time,” and is considered the founding figure of the Jiuzhentang, the Sichuan military medical center of the Qing Army.

Duchang Subdistrict: Duchang Subdistrict is a subdistrict under the jurisdiction of Changyi City, Shandong Province. Located in the main urban area of Changyi, it was established in December 1997. Situated in the central-western part of Changyi City near the Duchang Roundabout, it covers an area of 168 square kilometers, governs 82 administrative villages, has 25,000 households, a population of 88,000, and 113,000 mu of arable land.
