On October 10, 2013, the Li Family Residence in Xijintai was designated as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

It governs 42 administrative villages and has a total population of 44,000. The town boasts abundant resources, flat terrain, a superior geographical location, and convenient transportation. Provincial Highway Xiaxia runs north-south through the area, while the Jiqing Expressway crosses east-west, with Exit 16 situated just 500 meters south of the town center. It serves as a key transportation hub connecting the provincial capital Jinan and the coastal regions of the Shandong Peninsula.
