Shouguang Ecological Agriculture Sightseeing Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The ecological agriculture sightseeing park is located in the new urban area of Shouguang City, stretching from Zhangjianqiao Bridge in the south to Hanqiao Bridge in the north, and bordered by the Mihe River embankments on both the east and west sides. It covers a total area of 370 hectares, including 121 hectares of river surface and 249 hectares of riverside land. It is a comprehensive, open park that integrates leisure, entertainment, tourism, and science education. It has been awarded honors such as “National Water Conservancy Scenic Area,” “China Habitat Environment Example Award,” “Shandong Habitat Environment Example Award,” “AAAA National Tourist Attraction (2010),” and “Gold Award for Outstanding Landscaping Project.”

The ecological agriculture sightseeing park links four major themed scenic areas—Vegetable Expo Area, Flower City Charm Area, Forest & Fruit Oasis Area, and Water Recreation Area—via the natural waterway of the Mihe River. It showcases a landscape layout of “one axis, one loop, four zones, five waterfalls, eight bridges, and thirty-six scenic spots,” greatly improving Shouguang’s eco-tourism environment and enhancing the city’s charm. The main planning concept is rooted in the heritage of Jia Sixie, the Sage of Agriculture, and highlights Shouguang’s ecological agricultural culture as the “Vegetable Capital of China.” A human-centered design philosophy runs throughout, creating a splendid landscape of “green plants, blue water, and colorful vegetables.”

The Vegetable Expo Area displays the achievements of the agricultural sage Jia Sixie, his masterpiece, agricultural history, farming tools, ecological agriculture, and green products. Key attractions include the Five-Colored Earth Square, Sightseeing Vegetable Garden, Fruit and Melon Corridor, Grass Bridge Waterfall View, Four Seasons Square, Agricultural Sage Square, Jia Sixie Outdoor Exhibition Area, Farming Culture Square, and Hanqiao Moonlight Scene.

The Flower City Charm Area follows the concept of “planting flowers across ten miles as cultivation,” using terrain elevation changes to create cascading floral terraces. Colorful blooms form a vibrant and flourishing atmosphere. Key attractions include Peach Blossom Island, Floral Terraces, Terrace Square, Golf Driving Range, Wetland Garden, and Wind Chime Square.

The Forest & Fruit Oasis Area cultivates specialty fruit trees such as persimmon, ginkgo, yellowhorn, pomegranate, apricot, pear, and papaya. Visitors can enjoy the scenery while experiencing the fun of tasting and picking. Key attractions include the Solar Term Square and the Sky-Inquiring Platform.

The Water Recreation Area utilizes the vast waters of the Mihe River for activities such as boating, fishing, and dragon boat racing. It creates a water-friendly leisure environment where visitors can fully enjoy the thrill and excitement of waterfront recreational activities. Key attractions include large luxury cruise boats, water gardens, water parks, and fishing areas.

The developed landscape has attracted numerous investment projects, including the “International Canoe Club” located on the western shore of the sightseeing park. The project mainly includes an International Canoe Training Center, Sports Center, Entertainment Center, Confucius Research Center, and a series of related supporting facilities.
